February 1, 2015
It was a fine Sunday morning.
My pregnancy had already been 40 weeks. It was predicted that I would
give birth on February, 2. My husband and I were both too excited and
nervous to welcome our first child. To prepare the delivery, I took a
light walk around the house. He kept me company of course. :)
At
about 09.00 a.m., we headed to Cibinong City Mall for another light
walk. He told me that strolling around the mall might add some fun.
Having arrived, we did walk here and there; entering and exiting almost
each shop. Sometimes, I took a rest on the bench provided in the middle
of mall aisle. Bringing approximately 3.2 kg baby on your stomach caused lots of uneasy feeling. My feet felt hurt. My back was in pain too. But I was so happy.
We spent so many hours for window shopping. We went home at 06.00 p.m.
At
10.00 p.m., we felt hungry and had dinner at Tongseng Solo Kedai near
my husband's workplace. The kedai offered so delicious menus. One of our
favorites is Tongseng. That night, we ordered it and aaa..h our tummy
were so pleased afterward.
When
I stood up and left the kedai, suddenly my breasts were hurt. Really
hurt that I couln't stand straight. But Alhamdulillah, it didn't last
long. The hurt dissapeared.
Arrived
at home, I directly laid down on the bed and slept. At 11.00 p.m. I
woke up and went to toilet. I noticed there was a bood stain on my
panties. I was so surprised. I thought maybe "This is it. I'm going to
deliver." I rushed to the bedroom and woke him up. My Mom sleeping in
the other room woke up too. I told her what happenned and she responded
that "That's the first sign of giving birth." I really felt glad that
I'm gonna see our little one soon. However, I couldn't stop thinking the
unbearable I was going to experience.
Feeling that I'm gonna deliver soon, we went to Bina Husada Hospital. Arrived there, the nurses checked my vaginal opening and said that I got opening 1. They said, due to the fact that I delivered for the first time, it was predicted that it might take 10 hours to get perfect opening. They suggested us go back home so that I could take a rest and save some energy. We said okay and went back home.

At about
1.a.m., I started feeling uncomfortable on my stomach. It was followed
by vaginal discharge. My panties went wet. It happened every five
minutes. I couldn't go to sleep. I kept waking up my husband to massage
my back. At that time, I didn't think that my fetal membrane had been
torn apart. Up until shubuh, I experienced the regular pain but we
hadn't made decision to go to hospital.

In the morning, my husband and mother asked me to have breakfast. But I didn't have some appetite to eat anything. I just laid on my bed while caressing my protruding belly. It really hurt.
At 11.00 a.m. we packed and went to Bina Husada Hospital again.
Soon we arrived, I was headed straight to Delivery Room. The nurses on duty took care of me. Some of them checked my blood pressure. Afterwards, the other inserted their finger into my vagina to check the opening level. "You got Opening 8." said the nurse. I felt happy since it got closer to the perfect opening. I already imagined hearing his first cry and carrying him on my lap.
But, everything didn't went as expected. Though the opening had been perfect, my baby's head was still high. It wasn't close enough to the birth canal. I panicked. The pain kept coming and the nurses told me not to push yet. That was the most difficult request ever. I held my my husband hands but it seemed not enough to calm me down. Finally I pushed pushed and pushed before I was told to. I really couldn't help it. The nurse said to her mates to call the doctor since I already kept pushing. She also told me to push in a right way.
At about 16.00 the my obgyn came and checked the opening. She said the baby's head was still high. And the nurse gave me an infusion to help the baby's head go down approaching the birth canal.
30 minutes passed. The baby was still inside.I kept pushing but it wasn't enough to push the baby out. Finally, the obgyn decided to use vacuum to pull out the baby. My husband was ordered to sign the "Surat Tindakan" and left the room. I kept pushing with all the power I had. The obgyn started operating the vacuum machine and I only gave everything back to Alloh The Greatest.
At 16.45, my baby was born. She put him on my belly. I touched his head with my trembling hand. His head was so warn and tender. However, I couldn't hold him for long. He had to be observed soon. I met him 6 hours later.
